Prompt Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, test, and refine high-quality prompts to achieve specific outputs from LLMs (e.g., GPT-4, Claude, LLaMA, Mistral).
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product teams to understand requirements and optimize model responses.
• Build reusable prompt libraries and best practice guides for internal teams.
• Conduct A/B testing to evaluate prompt performance and model behavior under different conditions.
• Implement few-shot, zero-shot, and chain-of-thought prompting techniques based on the use case.
• Work with embeddings, retrieval systems (RAG), and fine-tuned models when necessary to enhance prompt effectiveness.
• Analyze model outputs for bias, hallucinations, and safety concerns; propose prompt-based mitigations.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, Cognitive Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of LLMs and prompt engineering principles.
• Proficient in Python, and familiar with LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, Cohere).
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a creative approach to guiding model behavior.
• Strong analytical skills to assess LLM outputs and optimize iteratively.
• Exceptional written communication skills and attention to detail.

 

Required Candidate Level:
Mid-level
