How we turned around product development for startup Reverifi

Reverifi • AI-Native Engineering • North America

The product was live, but broken. With trust rebuilt and clarity restored, Reverifi found its path to monetization — fast.

Challenge

Frustrated founder. Delayed delivery. No clear roadmap or accountability from the tech lead.

Solution

Replaced fractional CTO with a hands-on team who translated vision into execution and adjusted with the business.

Result

Product stability, strategic testing, and monetization clarity — all within a compressed window.

Context

Reverifi is a bootstrapped startup reshaping the residential real estate space. Founded by Jeff VanNote, a veteran in the industry, the platform is designed to improve transparency for buyers and streamline workflows for agents, lenders, and attorneys. Jeff’s vision was born from personal experience — a lost deal that exposed the cracks in how offers are handled behind the scenes.

He launched Reverifi to change that. But after a year and over $100,000 spent, the product wasn’t working. His original CTO, a former client, wasn’t delivering. Communication broke down. Meetings were missed. There were no clear answers — just frustration.

Challenge

As a non-technical founder, Jeff knew what he wanted the platform to do. But the translation from vision to code was broken. There was no bridge between business needs and technical reality. The system was live, but far from usable.

“I needed to hire a company that not only had experience, but also the right team and staffing.”

The stakes were high. Time and trust had already been spent. Jeff needed to recover fast — without repeating mistakes.

Solution

Jeff tapped his network. Through mutual connections, he was introduced to Optimum’s founders, Marco and Eyad. What followed was a total reset.

Optimum Partners came in not just as engineers, but as interpreters — patient, precise, and calm. They listened to what Jeff actually needed the platform to do, translated it into structured specs, and walked the team through delivery — while adapting in real time to changing market conditions.

They didn’t push timelines. They didn’t chase scope. They focused on delivering clarity, speed, and real working code.

“They didn’t nickel and dime me. They just said, ‘Okay, let’s get it done.’ As a founder, I appreciate that.”

Outcome

With a working system and tight feedback loops, Jeff was able to test multiple directions in the market. One of those directions paid off. He found a clear path to monetization — and is now focused fully on that strategy.

Optimum helped him recover from a broken team and an unclear product. More importantly, they helped him regain momentum and rebuild confidence in what was possible.

“They went above and beyond what was in the contract,” Jeff said. “It wasn’t about hours. It was about getting it right.”

“Problems are going to happen. But to Optimum, it’s always business. Never personal. We fix it and move on. That mindset won my loyalty.”
